 JP96, This is a protective plate that can be mounted above the beater, dough hook or whisk to prevent splashing against the head of the machine. Even with bread dough with little moisture, it can happen that the dough climbs into the dough hook and soils the machine. Easy to mount on the machines that already do not have a protective plate. The JP98 is just the locking knob with M10 thread to additionally secure the head of your food processor, so that it shakes less back and forth and up and down while kneading or mixing. This knob is for self-assembly and not a set with a threaded tap. See the JP98 set for this. For installation see the JP98 set below. 

JP98set is a set with the locking knob with M10 thread, and the tap M10 for tapping the thread. First pre-drill the hole by 4 mm and then by 8.0-8.2 mm, measured 20 mm center to center above the hole in which the hinge pin is located. Drill this hole of 8.0-8.2 mm all the way through the machine so that you can see the hole on the inside. Obviously, you must first separate the top of the machine from the bottom of the machine by removing the hinge pin. Coat the machine tap with cutting compound and then feed it through the drilled hole. Make sure that the wire also comes through the inner wall. See the pictures. Procedure: 

1. Once you have placed the machine on its side, loosen the locking screw of the hinge pin a few turns. 

2. Place the machine upright and push the hinge pin out of the machine with a thin punch. Be careful not to drop the machine head. 

3. Mark where the hole should be. 20 mm center to center up to the hole in the hinge. 

4. Drill the 4mm hole perpendicular to the hinge mounting and parallel to the hinge hole so that you can see it from the inside of the hinge. 

5. Then drill this to 8.0 – 8.2 mm with the drill. 

6. Tap the thread parallel to the hole of the hinge and make sure you do not tap the thread crookedly!!

7. If all is well, the threaded tap should be visible in the hinge. 

8, If so, then it's fine. If not, you have a problem!! Then you have tapped the thread crookedly. We can solve this for you in our factory with a Helicoil. This is new thread with spiral so it still fits.
